Thanksgiving
Camp in Colorado!
Check out the
Boulder Nordic Club’s Thanksgiving
Training Camp at Snow Mountain Ranch.
If there is enough interest, a biathlon option will be available
(biathletes would do one ski session and one shooting session each day). Biathlon topics include a review of
fundamentals, checking rifle fit, zeroing, and range procedure. This is an outstanding opportunity to
jump-start your season at the fantastic facilities of Snow Mountain Ranch. For more information about the biathlon
option, email Elizabeth Pike (Elizabeth.pike at Colorado.edu).
You know you’re a
biathlete when……..

Snow Mountain Ranch is located between Tabernash and Granby, just north of Winter Park. In addition to a 50 meter range with 16 shooting points, there is a 10 yard pellet range. The Snow Moutain Nordic Center has over 100 km of groomed trails. The phone number is 303-443-4743.
Many of our club activities are held here, including 7 races in our 10 race series that runs from December through March.
Eldora is located just outside of Nederland, 21 miles west of Boulder. There is a small biathlon range at the nordic center with one metal target and wooden frames for paper targets. The range is open to USBA members with a current safety certification. Those under 18 must be accompanied by a safety certified, adult USBA member. Users of the range at Eldora must sign in at the nordic center in addition to purchasing a trail pass. Eldora's Phone number is 303-440-8700.
The range at Frisco is now open and available for use by safety-certified USBA members. There are five metal targets there currently. There are also wooden holders for paper targets. We will hold 3 races in our 9 race series at Frisco. Athletes wishing to use the range should purchase a trail pass and sign in at the nordic center. Bring USBA membership card and safety certification book and avoid bringing rifles into the nordic center. The phone number for the Frisco Nordic Center is 970-668-0866.
